Mission
Nordpix is a curated visual media licensing platform built for the Nordic region and hosted entirely in Europe. We exist to give Nordic photographers a fair deal and buyers a trustworthy, GDPR-native alternative to American stock platforms.
Why we exist
The major stock photo platforms — Getty Images, Shutterstock, Adobe Stock — pay photographers between 15% and 45% of each sale, run on US infrastructure, and apply US privacy law by default.
Nordic photographers deserve better. Nordpix pays 60% royalty on every sale, stores all data on Hetzner servers in Germany, and is GDPR-compliant from day one — not as an afterthought.
We also curate. Every photographer is reviewed before their work goes live. This isn't a platform of tens of millions of mediocre images — it's a library of quality photography from five countries.
For photographers
You keep 60% of every license sold. No exclusivity required. No lock-in. Upload once, earn indefinitely. Payments are processed in EUR via Mollie, with automatic invoicing.
Your work appears on your public photographer profile, in project collections, and in search results. Every page is server-rendered for SEO so your work gets discovered organically.
For buyers
Three clear license tiers — Editorial (€45), Commercial (€120), Print & Wall Art (€85) — with unambiguous usage rights and EUR invoices. No subscription traps. Pay per image, rights are yours forever.
Original files are delivered via a time-limited secure download link after purchase. Watermarked previews are shown publicly; originals are never accessible without a valid license.
Infrastructure
Nordpix runs on a Hetzner VPS in Germany. Media files are stored in Hetzner Object Storage (S3-compatible) in the EU. Authentication is handled by FjordID, a self-hosted Keycloak instance. Payments via Mollie, which is headquartered in the Netherlands.
No data leaves the European Union.
