Common questions
About Nordpix
What is Nordpix?
Nordpix is a curated stock photography platform specialising in imagery from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. Photographers upload photos, drone footage and video; buyers license them under three clear tiers — Editorial (€45), Commercial (€120) or Print & Wall Art (€85). All infrastructure is EU-hosted on Hetzner and GDPR-native.
What types of Nordic photos are available?
The library covers fjord landscapes, Northern Lights and Arctic photography, coastal scenes including the Lofoten Islands, Scandinavian cities, forests, wildlife, and aerial drone footage. All content is hand-curated for technical quality.
How does photo licensing work on Nordpix?
Choose a photo, select your license tier and pay securely via Mollie. You immediately receive a download link to the original high-resolution file and a EUR invoice. No subscription required — pay per image.
Is Nordpix really EU-hosted and GDPR-compliant?
Yes. Nordpix runs entirely on Hetzner infrastructure inside Europe. Personal data never leaves the EU. Every purchase generates a GDPR-compliant EUR invoice, and no US cloud providers are involved.
What is the royalty rate for photographers?
Photographers receive 60% of every license — more than double the rate offered by Getty Images (15–45%) or Shutterstock (15–40%). There is no exclusivity requirement and no lock-in.
Which countries are covered?
Nordpix covers all five Nordic countries: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. Photographers and subjects from these countries are eligible for inclusion.
